Sidecar doesn't work in the way that a more traditional insurance carrier like BCBSNC does.. Additionally, because you are paying the cash rate and getting reimbursed you miss out on the negotiated lower rates that BCBSNC may have with UNC healthcare for various procedures.Sidecar Health Insurance.
